Loupa Pius is a young pastoralist leader from Karamoja, Uganda, and Executive Director of Rangelands Community Initiative (RCI). He is a 2026 Global Rangelands Restoration Awards winner and serves as Co-Chair of the Alliance of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities for Conservation in Africa (AICA). His work focuses on rangeland restoration, pastoralism, land and tenure rights, conservation policy, sustainable pastoral livelihoods, and the recognition of Indigenous and pastoralist knowledge in natural resource governance.
