This GIZ good-practice publication describes the Land Inventory Protocol approach used by the Responsible Land Policy in Uganda project to document existing customary and Mailo land rights and land use.
The approach uses fit-for-purpose mapping and documentation to make information about land use more accessible and support subsequent steps toward the recognition and formalization of rights. The publication focuses on the project’s experience in Uganda.
