Abstract
This scoping study examines how tenure security and land-use planning can support climate adaptation. It combines a literature review with four cases: land governance in Mozambique’s Búzi district, participatory wetland management in Uganda’s Butaleja district, land governance in Colombia’s Teofina La Arenosa Indigenous reserve, and settlement options for displaced people in Baidoa, Somalia. It uses the cases to connect local experience with a framework for assessing how land interventions can strengthen climate resilience.
