This practice brief reviews research and programme evaluations from the land sector to identify lessons for assessing land governance reform. It draws on a review of 50 programmes selected from a database of 180 and examines evaluation practice in Tanzania, Mongolia and Uganda, including gaps in evidence about institutional and political change.
