Keeping you in the loop – What are the objectives of the consultations and how to stay informed?
The LAND-at-scale (LAS) team at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) is currently conducting scoping activities in several countries selected for LAS Phase II. Through these activities, we aim to map the stakeholder landscape and identify opportunities for collaboration on land governance. As part of this process, we will organise public stakeholder consultations in close collaboration with the Dutch Embassies (EKN) in each selected country, either in-country or in a hybrid format.
The country-specific consultations aim to engage stakeholders who have been involved in land governance initiatives and processes over the past years. During the public consultation session, a brief kick-off will be given by RVO & EKN on the current LAND-at-scale engagement (if applicable) and possible broad direction of future engagement.
Thereafter, the session will dive into three objectives:
- Current and past initiatives in the land sector;
- Lessons learnt from these initiatives;
- Connect to networks that may inform future LAS engagement.
Please note that the consultations are intended to deepen the understanding of the land governance context in each country. This means we are not receiving project proposals at this time. Please refer to the frequently asked questions (FAQs) page for a full overview of the next steps.
This also means that if you are not present during the consultation, this does not disqualify you to participate in the call to concept notes. It is not a prerequisite.
In countries where LAS has not yet been active in its first phase, we may use a standardised form to collect insights prior to scoping missions. Where applicable, this will be clearly communicated via LinkedIn and Land Portal.
