She leads urban development research in Kampala for the African Cities Research Consortium, where her work includes how market communities respond to flooding and gaps in city services. Her research on the Kampala–Jinja Expressway examines how displacement affects women in Kinawataka and how they can shape resettlement decisions. She also contributed to a LAND-at-scale case study on community-led wetland management in Butaleja, Uganda.
